i'm 18 and haven't done anything there yet. any suggestions/procedures? i heard shaving it all off sucks.

Trim if they're out of control. Otherwise, don't do anything. You certainly don't want to do anything down there that you might regret.......something that will hurt or be itchy.

I have found that women generally prefer it to be nicely trimmed or shaved....although most don't care if it's not.
In short: Do whatever you want.
I vote for trimmed or shaved because you should keep every part of your body neat. If you want it long, as least "groom it" occasionally so it's not a nasty 'fro.
Edit: Also, anyone who cuts themselves there by shaving or trimming needs to pay more attention. I mix between shaved and trimmed and have never hurt myself. It only itched the first few times I shaved, after that it was nothing. Girls do it all the time. Why can't you? ;]

Shaving it all off takes getting used to. I'll trim it up, but I won't shave it all off.
It really boils down to whether you have a girlfriend that spends a lot of time down there. Less hair is better for the ladies.

Just do nothing. It's not worth the effort and the pain. Maybe just trim it a little if you have a massive pube-fro. But don't shave. That'll hurt.

yea man im 18 too. im gonna trim them. shaving itches from what ive heard and i dont want to be going around playing pocket pool all day trying to knock the black 8-balls in

you don't really have to do anything because you're a guy (lucky!), but if you do, just (CAREFULLY:p) trim the upper part a little with scissors, just to make it look kind of neat and not so bushy. Leave the rest.
