an apple core? I didn't bite it or anything, I sliced pieces off with a knife so now can I give the core to my hammie as a treat? I just wanted to make sure nothing would harm her... Thanks all!!

Yes that apple is not harmful at all. Infact that is actually a good treat for your little fellow. Just make sure when your hamster does not eat the left over, take the left over out the cage. Also another good treat to your hamster is melon or water melon, they love those. Never give your hamster food that has artificial flavor in it, it will cause them to have weird behaviors, or somethimes extreme weird behaviors.

p.s. have fun with your hamster!

You should cut the remaining apple from the core for your hamster. Make sure it is skinless and there are no seeds in the apple pieces. Be sure to remove the uneaten apple bits after a few hours, or they can start harboring bacteria that is harmful to your hamster.

Someone had said watermelon is a good treat for hamsters: WRONG! Never feed your hamster something with that high of a water content.
