My brother is proposing to his girlfriend and she always talks about finding a ring inside a fortune cookie. Where can I find a company that can help him with that?

Fortune cookies are actually really easy to make. This recipe is actually from a kid's site ("Hello Kitty"). Make some test cookies that are large to see how they hold up.

Get a friend who likes to cook/ bake to help. It looks like you make the cookie shape AFTER baking so it would be easy to insert the ring.

If you can't do it realistically with a real ring and fortune cookie, find a friend who's good at sewing or crafts to make one our of fabric or paper mache or something.

Here is the recipe.
1 large egg white

¼ C all purprose flour

¼ C sugar

butter

Whisk egg whites in bowl.

Add sugar and pinch of salt. Mix until smooth.

Butter baking sheet. Put about two teaspoons of dough on sheet and spread into a circle 3 inches wide.

Bake at 400 until edges are golden brown.

Remove and put on a plate. Place fortune inside, flip in half and curve edges.

Do 1-2 cookies at a time.

This should make about 7 cookies.

Good luck.

Wow! thats a really cool idea. I think you can call most chinese restaurants which serve the fortune cookie to have them make a special one for you.
however, i think itll be too big, and might already give an idea to the girl that somethings inside.

Many Chinese restaurants make their own or can make their own cookies. Go and shop around and ask about. They'd probably be more than happy to do it! That is a good way to propose.

here is a silver hinged cookie that you can put a message in or i'm sure fit the ring inside. maybe put a lil velvet or satin fabric to nestle the ring on so it doesn't shake around inside.

he can even engrave something on the outside.. ie i love you will you marry me or something like that.

They did cookies on "Unwrapped" last night. Check foodnetwork.com and see if they have a link to "Unwrapped". They might have something there about fourtune cookies and were to order them from. If not, try and google it.

Make your own - see the link below.

You should probably practice a few times first.
