It's been happening this whole week. It's really weird. I've lost 33 lbs in 4 months. Now I'm 5'3 or 5'4 and weigh around 130 lbs. I still need to lose about 10 more lbs. Latley my weight has been fluctuating between 130-133. I've been jogging 30-50 min 4-5 times a week. For example:

Monday- 131, ran
Tuesday- 132, ran
Wednesday- 133, didn't run
Thursday- 131, didn't run
Friday- 130, ran
Saturday- 131

Why is my weight fluctuating so much!? My diet hasn't changed since I was losing weight. It's making me feel really discouraged bc I am trying to lose at least 1 pound every week.

I don't understand? When you exercise the only weight your losing for that day is water weight. You've also may have hit a plateau where you need to change your routine or step it up to the next level to lose more weight. Meaning increase your intensity or increasing your time. But I would recommend intensity.

The weight fluctuations could be due to a number of things, including hormone cycles. Depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle and how much water you are getting, the increase could be due to water weight. Also, remember that exercise causes a person to build muscle. So although you may weigh the same, your body composition will be different, with a lower percentage of body fat. Instead of using the scale, try judging by the fit of your clothes. If they fit or are getting looser, you have probably gained muscle mass.

Also, keep in mind that if you are struggling to lose weight, your body may have hit its natural setpoint, at which future weight loss will be very difficult. This plateau is a common experience for dieters. If you think that you look fit, don't worry so much about numbers on a scale. Weight alone is not a good judge of what size a person should be. Just continue to maintain your routine and see what happens. Even if the numbers on the scale don't drop as far as you like, you are probably still experiencing the health benefits of all that working out. Kudos to you for your discipline!

You've hit what they call the "Plateau"...you're body is kindof stuck at a certain weight range. You are a healthy weight for your height, but I understand how losing the final 10lbs. makes all the difference..Honestly, all you can do is keep w/ the diet and exercise and your body will eventually let you lose the last of the weight...This is a common problem for people trying to lose weight.

you cannont be worrying about one or two pounds. You might have had something heavier to eat, if you are working out, you are building muscle mass as well, which is heavier than fatty tissue, so there is some trade off occuring, and in the last couple of pounds its always tough because you are having a constant battle with gaining muscles mass and loosing fatty tissue. I wouldn't worry about it over the course of a week. Try eliminating your liquids except for water.

Muscle weighs more than fat. When you aren't working out, you are losing muscle mass, and the healthy weight that goes with it. Losing weight shouldn't be you focus when working out, toning should be.

muscles naturally weigh more than fat, so after you run your muscles would have gotten a slight boost in size, henceforth increasing their weight. however- i would suggest continue doing what your doing, even if you continue to hover around that 130-133 weight, you will still be becoming more and more toned and henceforth healthier via the excersize and healthy eatign habits you are doing. Good work!
