go to a real estate company and they will sponsor you and you have to get your passing grade and then you will do a commission draw for some time.
better than college as real sales people help you out

You should go with your community college and look for the real estate agent courses under continuing education. It is much more reputable and it will be taught in a place you can trust. Depending on where you live, the competition may vary which will affect your pay. 40 to 60 hour work week is usual, at least for your first year.

Remember, your pay will be JUST ON COMMISSIONS. So, if you don't sell anything, you won't get paid. Use this time to learn and practice other aspects of real estate, such as marketing, maintaining a website, and reading books from your local library about architecture, construction and home decor. The more you know, the more buyers you will have.

I took classes from a community college on weekends after signing with an agency. Pay is commission only so expect a few months of no income depending on your state. In Ohio it could take 30 - 60 days from listing to closing. You can work as much as 60+ hours a week, do open houses for other agents, borrow listings for advertising to get your name out there, take phone calls in the office and network with family and friends to start.

There is an online course that you can take and you have to pass that course to obtained a license, but you do not need to pass it to take your state exam. Your required to wait a total of 18 days after you sign for the class online to take the state exam. If you need help you can email me at emyli3do@yahoo.com
