He said that unless we start giving more than the obligatory 15% of our earnings to the church, Satan will do a hostile trakeover. Could that happen? I mean I know that the devil has Johnny ******** and the best attorney team ever... Can he really take over? It seems that the process has already begun. Sometimes I don't know whos side the church is on...

Without Paul, Christianity would likely never have become the force in the world that it is. It would have never become unified in doctrine. But then, that doesn't really answer your question. I believe that Paul, through his persecution of Christians, became familiar with a spreading - but fragmented - cult. He saw an opportunity to put his own stamp on what he saw, knowing that he was far more educated than the majority of these believers. Paul invented Christian orthodoxy, and spread it throughout the Roman territory with his letters. From then on, Christianity really became Paulianity.

About the 10% and the 15% mentioned, It is biblically 20% and 10% additional every third year totaling 30%. There are three tithes mentioned in your bible. Each is for a distinct and individual purpose.

Even if tithes were enforced TODAY, it is still only ten percent, not 15%. Not only that, it is ten percent of the increase of your harvest (Crops). Also, how can satan do a hostile take over when he was defeated, disarmed, and brought to nothing. He was cursed in the Garden and has been crawling on his belly ever since and Christ destroyed his works on the tree.

Sure, you can believe him when he says Jesus spoke to him, just try to remember that the biblical Jesus has been dead for almost two-thousand years, so which ever Jesus your pastor was talking to WAS NOT the Jesus from the bible. I recommend going to another church, unless your pastor can talk Jesus into coming in to church with him incarnate in order to give a sermon on why he wants and thinks he deserves a pay raise.

behold, I stand at the door & knock, anyone who opens the door & lets me in, I will come in & sup with them & them with me...yes it is possible for Jesus to talk with us...but if what someone is telling you does not line up with Gods word...its simply not true! satan will do a hostile takeover? The battle is already won & Jesus is the victor!

lol even the bible never asked for more than 10%, that is what a tithe is.....so I suggest you do a hostile take over from your pastor and beat the devil to it while there is still some profit to be had from the gullible parishioners that would pay such monies.

Why was Jesus in a "semi-conscious state" when He spoke to your pastor? I don't think I would believe anyone who said that Jesus was talking in His sleep.

15% whoa he's way off. It should be 90%. That's what Sam Walton ( founder of Walmart) did and look how God blessed him.
