I downloaded a trial version of microsoft office 2007. i cannot find it to install it.

Go to the start menu, click Search. Do All files or folders (on the right) and search in the C:\ drive for....hmmm, microsoft office, maybe? It might have 07 in the file name, but I hope this helps.

I could perhaps give you a better answer if I knew what program/browser you used for downloading. Try downloading the program again and this time notice where it is about to be downloaded. Odds are the program is there in whatever directory is the default for downloading.

Download it again, only this time save it to the Desktop.

Better yet, want to save a few hundred bucks?

Try the free and M$-Office compatible Open Office from:
Included: Writer (Word), Calc (Excel), Impress (PowerPoint), Base (Access), Draw (M$-Paint) and Math

Just make sure that if you want others to be able to view the documents using M$-Office Word, save them using "Save as..." in the .doc format, instead of the default .odt format. Or use the built-in PDF creation feature.
