Go to HRSA.gov and read the info off the government loan repayment program. It may be possible for you to go back to school, get your RN and waive the loans until you graduated then get them ALL paid off by working in a federally designated clinic/site. Even WV, Alabama, Texas have sites available.

Your intentions to work in a needy community are great. I applaud you.Based on the rate of pay for the LPN's, it seems you would have to work two jobs in order to pay your loan off in a timely manner due to high interest rate. It can be done but it will take you a longer time. Why not use the lone for the RN program? Good luck with your decision.

Do you mean "Loan Forgiveness"? No. An LPN program is only a year long and its not going to break the bank when you pay it off.

The best way to know is to call your lending institution that is handling the Stafford in question and ask about what qualifies for working it off. If anybody would know it would be them.
