Can anyone tell me why is it that once you entered the light after you die, it is impossible for you to return back to earth? Is there any way the dead can come back to this living world though they have entered the light?

Estella, ask one of those who entered the light. They know the answer

Well Estella, let me begin by suggesting that nobody truly knows the answer to your question. And anyone who has a claim on the afterlife is very illusion-ed by what they think they have seen or has fabricated a clever story with intent to intrigue or convert ones beliefs. And besides, it's a law of physics that all matter has always and always will be the same weight . There can never be more or less. And it's been that way since the birth of the cosmos. And here's food for thought. If you've ever been put under local anesthesia to have a surgery performed on you, an interesting thing happens while you're asleep. Time stops. Yes, I've had 3 surgeries in my lifetime-all which required Anestassia. Well, when an Anesthesiologist puts you under, your heart rate slows down dramatically and the receptors in your brain are disconnected, which is litterally disabling your rem sleep which is when you dream and your body and mind have a sense of time lapse. But anesthsia shuts off your brain and slows your heart rate which essentially means you're dead. Think about it. After you've been injected with anesthesia, you fall asleep and it seems like you've only been sleeping for 2 or 3 seconds when actually, you've been asleep for 3 or 4 hours while the surgeons are cutting into your body. My belief is thats what it's like when you die. Your brain shuts down and nothing.....blankness forever and ever and ever-more. Sorry, I can't accept any other explaination.

Obviously, the wisest answer would be "we don't know" (and don't let anyone tell you otherwise).

Furthermore, not all people report seeing the "light"; and, more importantly, we don't *really* know whether the experience called NDE is actually identical or similar to "actual" death - i.e. to the departure of no return (or so it seems). But, if "near death" experiences are anything to go by, many of them seem to suggest that what people experience is simply too pleasant to let go. Certain NDE also suggest that there is a moment of decision after which there is no going back. (Why is that so, is beyond our comprehension at the moment.)

But there is something else I'd like you to consider... How can we REALLY know that they don't come back (albeit in a different modality of life - and I don't mean reincarnation)? Our senses - and our intellect (not the "mind" in the broader sense, only the petty, reasoning part of it) - are much too limited to grant a reliable theory.

P.S. Many of tthose who "can't" accept the simple and painfully obvious fact that their human senses and intellect are highly deficient and often warped to the point of distortion - meaning that they are not in a position to judge what happens after physical death - seem to derive great comfort from the puerile theories by certain "scientists" who claim that there is "nothing" after death - and that's it. (Which actually means that there's nothing THEY can perceive - and that's it. ;) If they were really interested in science - meaning "knowledge" (regardless of one's mindset) - they would take heed to the very many scientists who have in fact refuted their premises. Google dr. Pim van Lommel, for example. Or see the very good BBC documentary "The Day I died".

On the other hand, this old saying comes to mind: "Nobody is as blind as he who doesn't want to see"... :)

P.P.S. I hope you know that, thankfully, there are now options other than Yahoo on the internet, for those who ask questions - probably expecting a thoughtful or at least civil answer.

Any mother willing to keep you at 18 by herself is a bleassing! Most girl won't because they only start to have real fun.. Party and etc at that timme plus Its hard being pregnant and at school and working at not the best job. Your mom kinda remind me of me, am 7months preggo and 19, I worked still and go to school(thank god the semester gonna be over)! So this actually motivates me because am going through basically the same thing woww except I dunno how things will be after the pregnancy, plus my mom and she's a cancer "the mother of horoscope" wanted me to get an abortion too so did the father of my child(capricorn).. Its a lot of stress to go through. I think everyone no matter what sign their mother is, should appreciate them for at least bringing u to this world. Am an aries and I know I will be the best I can for my son! (He's gonna be an aquirarius!)

Jesus came back from the dead, his Mother Mary has appeared in many countries, other saints and angels have appeared to people on earth. So they can return for good purposes. As far as ghosts who frighten people are concerned, it could be part of a purgatory for them to resolve the sins of their past life. Some say they can talk to the dead like on a phone line that is pretty hard to believe. I think people come back if God permits it but it doesn't happen often.

No sir..
Once one is dead,he can not come back to this world till Judgment Day, when every one will be alive again to confront the Creator.
There is one thing more..What ever has a Beginning has an End.

Because they are dead. Light? You mean at the crematorium? Or the morgue? Is that the light I see when I look in your ear and see out the other side? When your dead your dead. Like a dead fly. Like a dead roach. Like that chicken your going to fry. Can you bring it back? I like mine Greek style.

It seems to be because there isn't anything after you die. That's it. You're dead. There's nothing else.

As for the 'light', test pilots have near-death experiences all the time, even when they are in no danger of actually dying. Bright lights, dead relatives, out of body experiences - the works. Turns out it's just your brain freaking out.

Great Question

Luke 16:19-31 (Living)
"There was a certain rich man," Jesus said, "who was splendidly clothed and lived each day in mirth and luxury. [20] One day Lazarus, a diseased beggar, was laid at his door. [21] As he lay there longing for scraps from the rich man's table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores. [22] Finally the beggar died and was carried by the angels to be with Abraham in the place of the righteous dead. The rich man also died and was buried, [23] and his soul went into hell. There, in torment, he saw Lazarus in the far distance with Abraham.
[24] " 'Father Abraham,' he shouted, 'have some pity! Send Lazarus over here if only to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in these flames.'
[25] "But Abraham said to him, 'Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted and you are in anguish. [26] And besides, there is a great chasm separating us, and anyone wanting to come to you from here is stopped at its edge; and no one over there can cross to us.'
[27] "Then the rich man said, 'O Father Abraham, then please send him to my father's home-- [28] for I have five brothers--to warn them about this place of torment lest they come here when they die.'
[29] "But Abraham said, 'The Scriptures have warned them again and again. Your brothers can read them any time they want to.'
[30] "The rich man replied, 'No, Father Abraham, they won't bother to read them. But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will turn from their sins.'
[31] "But Abraham said, 'If they won't listen to Moses and the prophets, they won't listen even though someone rises from the dead.' "

Because you're dead.
If you believe in entering the light, then you shouldn't believe in coming back.
