White or Ivory/champagne? I have dark hair and I would be going tanning everyday!

both very beautiful dresses
Think what colours you want as your theme....gold works with ivory and silver works with white

Theres pros and cons for both colours as you cant beat crisp white linen on a table to co ordinate but ivory is softer

White look stunning with silver cutlery and if your other colour is say pale blue it all blends perfectly
If you wanted say...bronze, gold, green these are warm colours
Judging by your photo - you are a warm colour which I think Ivory, gold, copper, red, bronze, etc

Its all down to you of course and you'll look gorgeous if you wore a bin bag :O)

The best thing to do is actually go try some dresses on and see how you look in the ivory and the white. I swore I was getting an ivory gown but the dress I bought wound up being light gold- I never would have guessed I'd pick that!

As for the white being for innocence and virginity... that's a bunch of garbage. White didn't become popular until Queen Victoria got married in a white gown and then suddenly everyone had to have one. Same thing for the poster who suggests that veils are about innocence. Wrong-o! They were about covering the bride's face so in arranged marriages, the groom wouldn't know if she was ugly until it was too late.

It's hard to say. You really need to try the dresses on. Skin tone does make a huge difference. But, even if two people are tan, it does mean the same color dress will look good on both.

It depends on the undertones of your skin, etc.

You can get away wearing any shade of white/ivory/champagne, anytime of year. If you want to make your wedding to have a fall theme. Use fall colors for flowers, bridesmaid dresses, etc.

Try them on.

But, I do love the first dress a lot and I never like dresses from David's Bridal So, good choice.

Glamour magazine had a tv show about the top 20 dos and don'ts for wedding. Really high on the lists of don'ts is tanning. You will look ridiculous with a dark tan in white or ivory wedding gown. Seriously don't do the cancer thing; it will look really bad. You should pick the color that looks best on you. Don't base your decision on time of year.

probably the ivory or champagne, but likely you'll have to decide when you go dress shopping - color is difficult - we all have "undertones" in our skin that make us look better in certain colors. If you are a "winter" with dark hait then pure white will suit you best! If you "tan" then ivory will work better, so it's a tough call.

The best color would be the one that looks best on you. Skin tone is everything in this. Try on different colors and see which one makes you look radient.

Don't worry about the tan; your underlying skin tone will be the same, so the same shade of white/off-white should look just as good on you.

I think you should get whichever color looks best with your skin tone.

For example . . . I look terrible in white, but good in ivory. You may look great in white, but not so good in ivory.

Go try stuff on, and see what looks best on YOU.

i love traditional, bruight white is my favorite, no matter what time of year, it's classic & stunning.

but, since that wasn't one of the options you gave, i'd say o for an ivory, that's different enough from white so it stands out, your man will probably have a white shirt, right? you dont want to look like your dress is just discolored.
