There are some etiquette "offenses" which are best left IGNORED, and this is one of them. Especially when the offender is attempting the manuveur (supposedly) in PRIVATE, which includes the interior of a vehicle when alone.
You, the observer, are to be the gracious one and politely ignore the behavior.... in etiquette parlance, it is known as MYOB.
Just be sure to wash YOUR hands after shaking the hands of others (especially prior to your cooking or eating)... PERIOD!!! You never know where that hand has been.
