We just spent the 4 days at family camp (kids with cancer) and I am always amazed with how good everyone makes you feel there and how much fun we have.
I always hate leaving but always do with new friendships formed...it's just such a wonderfuly experience, especially for the children. My kids have dozens of new friends and counselors they converse with via facebook, email, etc. and I am happy they have so many wonderful, positive people in their lives who are there whenever they want to sit and find someone to chat with.
The kids get several more weeks at camp too, so lucky them...that's it for us "old" foggies however...as far as I know...we get two weeks without them but although some would love that--I miss them!
