I noticed that recently I can't find the will to eat anymore. I'm not depressed or anything, it's just I can't stand hearing or seeing food. It makes me feel sick to my stomach and when I try to force myself to eat I feel like I'm gonna throw up. It's been a week and I've barely eaten anything except a salad and a few bites of pizza. As I'm typing and thinking of food I'm starting to feel sick now. What should I do?

But how long is too long to wait before I seek help. It could just be that I'm sick or something and just don't feel like eating. I am always worried I make a big deal out of nothing.

I don't think its anorexia, because anorexia is a mental disease and starving (more on purpose). It's really complicated to explain even at a detailed explaination. I think it's something else. Try calling your doctor.

Are you feeling under the weather or depressed? Maybe something else is going on with you right now, and I suggest scheduling a visit to your family physician immediately! If you are not eating as you say, then your body is not receiving the nutrients it needs in order to survive. Your muscles will become weak. Your body will turn to your organs in a desparate search for protein. Your heart could fail due to insufficient electrolyte imbalances. Anorexia nervosa is very serious eating disorder and not something to play around with. Seek medical help asap!

You should talk to a doctor. You could have some form of anorexia, but I doubt it.
You are probably sick with something.
You could have developed a food allergy or intolerance. These types of allergies can sometimes lay dormant and then symptoms just appear out of the blue.
You could be depressed or stressed out. I know you said you are not, but often, people have depression with out actually realizing it completely. Have you been under allot of stress lately?
It is not good for you to go with out food for too long. See a doctor.

Go to a hospital. The same thing happened to me and I lost about 20 pounds. I got so hungry but felt I could not eat and couldn't move very well. I went to the hospital and came out and felt better, but I ate oyster crackers after that to boost my health before moving onto other foods.

usually, when we talk about anorexia nervosa -- it's a psychiatric condition in which a patient should seek help emotionally. however, talking about anorexia in general (as in lack of appetite) there are other factors that could contribute to it such as -- if you're taking any medications, do you drink a lot of coffee, are you currently under a lot of stress in school or work? those are the common ones that i could think of.
if you feel like your emotions are linked to your anorexia, it wouldn't hurt to seek help. speak to your primary physician for now to find out what the cause is and he/she will guide you from there

Get yourself to a doctor for a physical check up to rule out physical illness, then get to a therapist asap - even it means you need hospitalisation - you don't want to end up being fed through a tube. The only alternative is that your kidneys will give out, and, when that happens, the heart stops, without warning and you die.

yes anorexia can be involuntary, but usually it is found to be a deep seated emotional issue... one that is suppressed out of awareness. Suggest you seek professional help before you find yourself in a hospital with a tube thru your nose being fed with liquids.

A lot of anorexics report that they feel better when they don't eat, and that's why. I think you should see a doctor. It sounds like there is something going on for you, and this is very unhealthy.
