sometimes this volvo 1999 s70 glt abs,stc and check engine light come on together and after i turn off and turn the engine the light gose off also the smoke come out when i park the car and leave the engine on.

your valve cover gasket is no good.it leak oil on your manifold,make smoke.your engine light come on because no oil in motor.check oil level,stop oil leak and you be OK.

The lights coming on may be due to a faulty ignition switch. The smoke may be a different issue, sound like a turbo going south. weres the smoke coming from ?

Where is the smoke coming from?
Under the hood means an oil leak.
Coming out of the tail pipe means piston rings or valve guide seals are bad.

I am no car expert, but I do know cars are not suppose to smoke. You need to get this checked out before you blow a head and that can be real expensive!

suspect alternator out put troubles and possibly a failed turbo oil seal contaminating the oxygen sensors. both of these matters should be checked out by your dealer or trustworthy independant garage
the tests needed are simple and quick . and you may wish to get several estimates
