Hard to say, however....there have been many, many cases of young phenoms falling on hard times and never being heard from again. The oft mentioned examples of Ty Tryon and Casey Wittenberg (ironically two other Leadbetter proteges) immediately come to mind. Hopefully if Ms. Wie ever does "come back" she'll have a) lost her father and b) lost the knack for giving perhaps the most lame and air headed answers to press conference and interview questions ever heard in modern golf. She comes across as a self-absorbed, bubble headed, couldn't-give-a-crap teenager that she is.

She has too much talent to be done. She needs to get healthy, take some time off to enjoy her time in college and when she's ready, come back and play strictly on the LPGA Tour. She needs to forget playing with the men and worrying about becoming the best on the women's tour. She also needs to tell her parents to stay out of her professional golf life.

You could say she's another Ty Tryon or you could say she is going through a typical teenager stage. She's dealing with her growth both in weight and in height. Also, she is graduating high school and looking to college. I think she needs to get out of the spotlight and get back to basics for a while. She has the distance and the game to play with the women, she just has to put her time in and rise through the ranks like every other woman out there.

In my opinion, Not Ready for Prime Time. She needs to work on the part of the game from the neck up.

she thinks shes better than she really is. She needs to play some college golf first, then see if she can get her amature card, then work her way through the amautre golf tournaments, and then go to the WPGA.

She'll be fine. She has tons of talent and just needs better direction. Once she gets her wrist healthy and her head on a little straighter she'll be okay.
