Well , you should always be able to tell your friend the truth. I know that telling your friend she has under arm Oder sounds like it can only be told in a hostile, mean way. But, you can tell her like this, tell her that lately you've noticed that she smelled a bit, and ask her what deoderant she is using, and if you know it's not a good brand help her pick a new deoderant. And before you say all of this, let her know, that you are her friend and would never hurt her feelings, and that what you are about to tell her is not meant to make fun of her, but to let her know and help her with the problem.
