The federal government does not mandate that employees be given vacation time. But almost all employers do give paid vacation time to full-time workers - they'd have a hard time getting and keeping employees otherwise.

There is no federal or state law that requires an employer to provide paid vacation or vacation time at all. Many employers choose to provide paid vacation to full time employees. It is rare for part time employees to get paid vacation.

If you are a construction worker, you will probably not be paid for any time off. The general rule there is no worky-no checky.

No! Most places, after a year of working at that one company, will offer 1 week of paid vacation. Some offer longer paid vacations each year you are there.

I get 4 weeks paid vacation a year, 12 paid sick days & paid holidays here in the U.S.

No if you have a good job and put the time in you get paid time off, sick days and personal. I am actually up for 2 weeks payed vacation this July. And I am so excited!!!

Depends on who and how long you've worked for a company and what the company policies are. Most companies offer paid time off and paid holidays for full-time (40 hours a week) employees.

Not true.
We get paid holidays and vacation, but only if you are a "full time" employee.
Many temp agencies don't pay holidays or vacation.
