I want to buy a DVD recorder can I record from my sky digibox or can I only record the terestrial channels with a ariel

In my case, with SCART Sky to TV and DVDR to TV, SCART from Sky to DVDR screws up the TV picture. However, with the aerial going via the Sky box and an aerial output to the DVDR, the DVDR can be tuned to the extra analogue channel provided by Sky.

If I buy another DVDR, it will have a Freeview tuner so that I can record that also.

It seems that DVD boxes can only drive the TV via SCART.

yes, all you need is scart from the ext2 from the sky box, into the dvdr ( decoder ) socket. When recording please remember to put the dvdr on the av1 or line 1 channel.

You can record sky via the SCART lead and terrestrial via the RF lead.
