The "Rapture" is a construct of evangelical churches in the last 150 years or so.
The belief has been fairly recently encouraged by fiction written by authors who are profiting from the topic.
All Christians believe in the eventual return of Jesus Christ and the end of the world.
Interestingly enough, the belief in end time struggles is also held by adherents of Zoroastrianism, which originated in Iran.

The dead in Christ will rise first, and we who are alive and remian will be caught up in the clouds to meet tho Lord int he air and remain with him forever. There will be a huge wedding feast in Heaven the wedding of the Lamb. After the great tribulation such as the world has never seen Jesus will return with his raptured saints and his Holy angels to this earth and Jesus will smite the ones that oppose him and cast the antichrist and the false prophet in the lake of fire. Some say the false prophet will be from the Roman catholic church. When Jesus returns the angels will gather the people from all 4 corners of the universe and gather them to Jesus and they will be seperated into two sides. one will be for the sheep, the ones that came to Christ during the tribulation and survived it and did not recieve tha mark of the beast or worshipped his image as they will inherit eternal life and the goats will be theo ones that did not accept Christ and the ones that were decieved into taking the mark of the beast and worshiped his image and the unrepentant. They will be cast into everlasting torment into the lake burning with sulphor and brimstone for eternity. They will be in so much torment it is beyond our human imagination to imagine the horrors that await those without Jesus. Jesus will rule for 1000 years on the earth and peace will be established under one King and that King is Jesus Christ. After 1000 years God will burn up this earth and only the faithful ones will enter into the new earth and there will be a new Heaven too created by God the Father. AWSOM.

The dead will rise, then those who are left will be caught up in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. At that point, all the sarcasm will also disappear. But I bet society blames it on UFO aliens!

All of the fat WASP (Christians) will have to be lifted up into heaven on a crane, while all of the poor people who are starving will be left behind because they didn't follow white-trashism and the bible.
