People do give us a hard time. But I don't care. Cowards say all sorts of things behind computers, but would they say it to your face? Probably not.

I accidentally stumbled into R&S one day when I saw a question I knew the answer to. Since I was here anyways, I looked around. I was SHOCKED and APPALLED by some of the questions that were asked, and some of the answers that were given. Since then, I keep coming back because, in some sick way, I can't seem to stay away. Kind of like the morbid fascination people have for car wrecks.

I don't set out to be nasty, but some questions just bring out the sarcastic side in me.

It might help if christians were a little bit less sensitive, reread the bible (esp the old testament) and read now and then about the history of christian churches. One can easily say that the history of christianity is one of oppression and crime against humanity. If you do not agree on this, I am ready to discuss this here.
If I think your ideas are wrong I have the right and even the duty to attack and criticize them. Ideas are only instruments to make people happier, they are not the highest priority, people are.
I hope you see that my answer is a legit one. If you do not, you probably prove my point.

I wish you a very happy day, really.

There allot of people who come on here and ask ridiculous questions and think they are being SOOOO enlightened and smart. They are usually the ones giving rude and hateful answers. Some come here to defend their faith others like myself to see what's here and maybe sprinkle a little knowledge into their lives. honestly don't know how many here are serious but a few. Allot of smartasses looking for glory.
I try to take it all with a grain of salt and pray for the ones who make me worry.

I had no idea when I came here there would be so much faith bashing. I thought it would be a place to ask serious questions to learn about ones faith, not be torn to shreds by unbelievers. It has however given me reason to study my faith and learn all I can about what I believe and to stand up for my faith.
But it does amaze me the out right hatred of religion on the Religion and spirituality forum.

I come here to express my Pagan views. If that means I dispute someone, is that considered "giving them a hard time"? I suppose so, if it's not what they want to hear. I think people need to hear that there are other belief systems out there and that their little cocoon isn't the only way to live. They can take or leave what I say at their discretion.

I find this fascinating because as far as I have seen there is very little "cruelty" or "hatred" voiced in this forum. People are relatively normal. Is this what is so alarming?
I see true cruelty and hatred reflected in 9/11 and 7/7.

Most of the time I just try to make people laugh. I like making people smile. Occasionally I'll have a real question I feel like asking, and sometimes I share my views with others.

It's spelled "legit" by the way =)

I believe it is a very normal human reaction. We all want ppl to see things the way we do. It's part of folks wanting to be a part of. If they can't change their belief, they'll try to change every one else's. There are those too, who literally believe if one does not believe the way they do, they will all go to hell. It is therefore their duty to save pple. Some have no room for shades of gray. it is black and white. They're arguing because it is of tantamount proportions. They fight for your soul. If they do not you will lose it. That's what I have learned after all these years.

Blessed Be

I am here to ask questions and to clear up misconceptions about all Atheist being bad people. There will always be those people(on all sides) that aren't here(or anywhere really) to learn how to be respectful and tolerant. They just come around to stir up trouble and won't listen to what the other side has to say. No friggen wonder we have no peace!!

I believe in giving people a rough time and making them think!
I am Christian background, but i like to see people really change their lives, including myself.
So I put us all through the mill to achieve that at times!
