the heart is deep inside the body and reflects are feelings and emotions. When you fall in love it beats faster, it aches when your hurt. When you afraid really afraid, it causes a lump in your chest where you can't swallow. I think it is the seat of all emotions. Our brain is like a computer it processes information. Many times it means as contrasted with coming from the head. It means responding to the emotions involved, rather than using reason and intellectual analysis of the situation.

My own recommendation is that you use your head to think with and your heart (metaphorically) to feel with. You may FEEL attraction to a particular person, for example, but what do you THINK about the person's character, judgment, intelligence, behavior?
