Perhaps because you're limiting your thinking and/or engaging in stereotyping. I have nothing whatsoever to do with NASCAR, and am Catholic. I'm trying to imagine the average Eastern Orthodox, Unitarian, or Episcopalian hanging out at a NASCAR race. There are many types of Christians, and your stereotype doesn't seem capable of making room for all of them. And anyhow, if a Christian is, in fact, a NASCAR fan, so what? By the way, I know several non-believers who are into racing.

I'm a non believer, from New England and I like Nascar, IRL & F1. But then I've worked on cars and was a real gearhead as a teenager.

Very religious yourself, aren't you? Judge not, lest ye be judged...ring a bell? Probably not. I am a big NASCAR fan and also a Christian. White-trash, whatever that is, I am not. Are you?

Because you're misinformed. Also-NASCAR is big money...nothing white-trashism about it.
