According to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary (on-line), this word means, "Islamic guerrilla fighters especially in the Middle East".

The literal meaning of the Arabic word this came from is, "person who wages jihad."

The pronunciation is: mü-"ja-hi-'dEn, mu-, -"jä-

You spell it right read it in this breakup mu-ja-hay-deen.
( d will pronounce ''the'' ) is stand for more then person.
Its singular is mu-ja-hid.
Mean : the person who fight for the protection of Deen-e-Islam

I believe it is: moo hah deen...the I being silent..the 2nd H being a gutteral sound

the word is also "mujahedoon"(it depends on the sentence)
