I called information for the West side Inn's phone number. they gave me the wrong number. then when i called back and told them that, they searched again and then told me they could not find a number for it. ???? I even read off the adds street address for it and still they could not find a number for the Inn.

I've never seen this. If the bathroom is in the hall, it's usually described as a "shared bathroom". Since toilets are mandatory, maybe it means there are no bathing/showering facilities.

ADDITIONAL:
I just checked this at TripAdvisor - there are shared bathrooms. Before you consider staying here, please read what previous guest have to say about the place.

It means a shared toilet and shower, usually not too far from the room.
But whether the room has a sink in it, that's a case by case thing. My room had a sink in it, and since I'm a guy, that meant it also had a urinal, but don't tell them.

There's probably a couple bathrooms on each floor that is shared by 6-10 rooms.

I have NEVER seen a motel/hotel with no bathrooms! Not doubting you, just curious, where have you seen this? I guess the best thing to do is call the motel and ask what it means.

It means I won't be booking a room there.

It probably means that there are no PRIVATE bathrooms in the rooms... maybe.

It means that you should DEFINITELY stay elsewhere. There is no shortage of hotel rooms in New York.
