Undoubtedly:
Although there are problems in the Christian church, Jesus said to expect that, and He will separate the sheep from the goats.
But many outside the realm of Christ are in absolute rebellion against God's true principles.
Others are looking for something better, and will make a decision as God calls them. For this group, I suggest they read a Bible code that proves Jesus is the Messiah at http://abiblecode.tripod.com

If love thy neighbor is the motto I am not sure why it is not followed. As for the athesit/agnostic group not sure there is a "motto". Mine I think would be " treat others the way you would want to be treated regardless of how they treat you." Or harm no one physically or financially, help those less fortunate than yourself, and be kind." Something along those lines would be what I would consider my personal "motto".
On the other hand I do not see this type of thinking out of the majority of chirstians. I know there is a minority and probably some that are in here that are good to others. But, the majority of people that follow this religion stick to the hate dogma of the church. Hate witches, homosexual, other religions, science, and any teachings that oppose the church's/bible's strict set of unbelieveable claims.

Survival of the fittest is a law of nature. And you my friend are governed by this law whether you like it or not. I don't have to love my neighbor if I don't want to. But I will if it means I will be better for it. You see, I have a choice, you don't. By the way, I don't live by mottos. I live by whats right is right, whats wrong is wrong. And I do know the difference.
Do you?

Seems strange that you would pick this saying as the christian motto out of the many that are available in the bible, when it so obviously isn't practised.
My motto has always been 'treat others as you would be treated', and I don't just restrict this to other atheists.

The Golden Rule is a good rule for everyone to live by. In fact, all of Dale Carnegie's secrets to winning friends and improving interpersonal relationships are derivable from the Golden Rule.
What one believes is much less important to society than how one behaves. One is good to the degree that one lives by the Golden Rule. Too many Christians profess it and violate it laughably.

How about: "Don't think of the world in terms of mottos."
"Survival of the fittest" is a principle of biology ... not a code of behavior.

Its a good place to start.
But you make me wonder, given the history of the church of christ in america alone, if the motto is love thy neighbor why did the church resist sufferage so hard, or equal rights? or now a days gay marrige?
Are you stating for the record now that the christian church is hypocritical?
