Literally, hundreds of gospels and religious writings were hidden from the people. Some of those writings were written by Jesus’ disciples, and many of them were eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ actions. The Nicea Council decided to destroy all gospels written in Hebrew, which resulted in the burning of nearly three hundred accounts. If these writings were not more authentic than the four present gospels, they were of equal authenticity. Some of them are still available such as the Gospel of Barnabas and the Shepherd of Hermas which agree with the Quran. The Gospel of Barnabas, until now, is the only eyewitness account of the life and mission of Jesus.

They were not "removed", they are not "hidden", and they were not "eyewitness accounts."

They were not "removed" because they were NEVER considered canonical.

They are not "hidden" because people can still read them.

And they are not eyewitness accounts because they were written at least three hundred years after the fact.

The "gospel" of Barnabas was NOT written until at LEAST the sixth century. Last I checked, people did not live to be six hundred at that time, and Jesus lived in the first century. How could that have been an eyewitness account?

You are sadly misinformed. Stop listening to your imams, and discover the truth for yourself. You seem intelligent enough. You CAN think for yourself, can't you?

How do you know they were authentic? By what authority do you make this claim?

At the time the Bible was compiled there were many gnostic writings that were meant to confuse Christians. The gnostic writings were not literal accounts but made up accounts in order to discredit the Gospels of Christ.

The Church did get rid of them in order to stop the confusion. The New Testament was compiled by many people who sat down, prayed, studied and compared all. They got rid of those writings which were not consistent with the Old and New Testament writings. They were obvious fakes.

The funny thing is that its true that all these books were lost, and equally true that - along with the Quran and other writings - they are all pure fiction and of no provable value.

Because there is no god.

So it simply does not matter. To anyone.
