I laugh at the women who bash men, just goes to show they know much less then us :P

But, my answer is NONE OF US.

Love is greater than anyone of us. We all have our own perception in a way...and feel differently. We all kind of experience our own unique form of love.

Not one human can ever say they understand love, it's a very mysterious and powerful feeling. The only thing humans can understand is that the feeling of love IS THERE.

That's about it. :)

All you're doing is sparking another senseless battle of the sexes. The basis of comprehension on the concept of love does not derive from what your gender is, but from what you've experienced as an individual in the particular field. Asking this question is the same as asking what, in general, love is. It has been warped, molded, and re-shaped eternally throughout time, and so, has lost its generic meaning. Instead, it has evolved into a shapeshifter, changing into personalized opinions of those who express them. The understanding of love is based on one's personal definition of love, an answer so varied, so widespread, you couldn't possibly find a most definite answer. So who understands love better? You? Me? The next person to answer? It does not matter who can come to understand their own interpretation of the matter, all that is concernable is that the said philosopher is able to make his or her pursuits based on their definition, and their understanding.

Men. It's not because of writing. Men look for a mate to have a family and someone to care for. Women look for security. Look at when they divorce. What do they go after. MONEY.

These men understand love because women have taught them about love. I'm not saying one sex is better than the other, I'm just saying they had or have real love in their lives that inspire their artistry.

women do write about poems, songs and sonnets on love as well. it's just that we don't go showing off that we know about it. see? men want to show the whole world that they know about it but do they really by just writing some songs and poems? anyone can write them using sentences like "being the sparks of my eyes", "being the pure colors of the rainbow"... feel it first...

Neither gender has a lock on it.

We all love to the best of our capacity and it's in variable levels DEPENDING ON THE PERSON.

You're fortunate if both of you are at (or near) the same understanding. We both want the same things, but it is manifested in different ways according to gender.

This I say.

The writing of it doesn't necessarily indicate understanding. To 'understand' love one need only *feel* it.

Too feel it is to feel it's endless depth, and to sometimes feel it's endless pain.

Men and women feel this. Songs, sonnets, poems, literature, text of all kinds, media of all forms cannot define it or even place it within a boundary. To do so is to diminish it.

I THINK that women are more open, romantic and passionate about it, but men, will keep it all inside and have the ability to Love ONE very passionatly, while also cheating and lusting after others. A man can still have that ONE that he keeps tight in his heart, when a woman can let go and move on to another.
