It can be very hard to treat chronic pain. Many doctors aren't experienced enough to be able to treat chronic pain well enough, and finding a doctor that knows enough about your condition that causes your pain can also be a struggle. Doctors have to be careful about distribution of narcotic pain medications so that is why many of them want to be able to find relief tin other ways vs. pain meds because often times they become ineffective over time, they are addictive, and they often times don't treat long term pain. Luckily I've found several doctors that know what my chronic pain condition is, they know the treatments, and they believe that I have pain. It know how hard it is, but it's just something that you have to deal with when you have pain...you just have to keep trying different doctors until you find one that is willing to help you.

Like Tigger said, you need to find a pain specialist. Check out Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT). Its a new technique, but definitely worth checking out.

If you do a search on Yahoo or Google for "PRRT" you will be able to find a website with some more information on the topic.

Hope that helps.

See this YouTube video on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS6EVQixYFc

My father in law suffered from chronic pain for years & years and PRRT pretty much elminated it after three treatments.

Treating pain is a relatively new field of medicine. So far, you're running into a lot of older-school doctors who think 'it's all in your head'.

What you need to find is a specialist for treating pain. If you can't find any in the phone book, do an on-line search.

By the way, do you know what's causing the pain? Sometimes it's easier to deal with if you know what exactly it is.

Good luck.

yea its not fair, when you go into a doctors office and tell them you hurt, they treat you like trash. it pisses me off. fortunately i found a great pain clinic tht is really helping me. Maybe you should look for a pain clinic in your area.
