The capable wife
The whole chapter is talking about her qualities.
She isn't lazy, she has a good business head, her children are proud of her, she makes their clothes, she cooks their meals, even keeping her daughters on diets, she makes her husband look good...but her best quality is she fears displeasing God...because being charming and pretty goes away..but the inner beauty of a God fearing woman lasts forever.

Pretty thoughts girl this fear is to have respect the orders of Lord regarding piety, truthfulness and faithfulness etc. If a woman is really fearing the Lord, she will get honour and blessing from Lord of Heavens.

You should Love the Lord and you should serve the Lord out of Love. To have fear of the Lord is a healthy fear, knowing that he can do anything. It's kind of like when you were a child and when you learned something was bad and knew if you did it you would be in fear that you could get caught and get a spanking from you Father, It kept you from doing wrong, You know your Father still loves you but your in big trouble with him if you do wrong. Our Heavenly Father is much the same he loves us very much but we can be in trouble if you don't Liston. but his love, compassion and punishment is much stronger. Don't be misguided the Lord wants you to believe and follow him out of your desire and love for him but he is the all powerful and when he is with you for what you stand for it is your enmity's that need to be in fear.

I could be wrong but I think the use of the word fear in this context actually means ... ehhh like to honor and respect the lord. Sounds like the king james version things sound quite a bit different in ye ole english.

It is a good fear of displeasing Him. As a child, when you did something wrong how it hurt more when your parents were disappointed in you, you let them down, than when you were punished?
That is what we do not want to do. We want to cause God to be happy by our life course.
With age, beauty and sexy charm fades but a person leading an upright life will always be highly thought of.

We do love the Lord, When it says to fear Him it means to have a healthy respect for Him and what he says. Like we should fear the police/law. Not that we think it will hard us but we need to respect what it says for our own well being

Fear can be taken in different ways. Have you ever heard the phrase a God fearing man? I believe when it says fear God it means basically take God seriously and i guess "fear" wrongdoings and such. Words can have many implications. And stuff in the bible is often translated, passed down, and retranslated.

I would say that "Charm is deceitful...beauty is passing" symbolizes ego, the part of us that insists upon physicality; "Woman" symbolizes intuition, the part of us closer to truth than ego. "Fear" means revere, to experience the awe of realizing what God is, as opposed to what the world insists He is. There is no fear in God, only Love...only Peace...only this.

Fearing God is like respecting your earthly father. You love him and he loves you but you know that if you don't obey him and show respect you might end up with a sore rear end because he wants you to grow up to be good and to make wise choices and to not ruin your life with youthful foolishness.
Hebrews 12:4 In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? "My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives."
7 It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9 Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. 11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Throughout the book people are told to both fear and love God -
it means that you can be pretty and charming - but it isn't real and it isn't lasting.
You are to be humble and worry more about your devotion then your charm and good looks.
