To know and love one you have to know and understand the other.

That's a take off on what the Apostle Paul had to deal with back in the day.

Romans 3:5 But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unrighteous to inflict wrath on us? (I speak in a human way.) 6 By no means! For then how could God judge the world?

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

If you worship the darkness or vice versa, you MUST acknowledge the other but not necessarily worship it.

...and what "book" would that be?

..."The Book of Illusions"?

Go back and read, study and contemplate "the ancient wisdom".

Your statement implies a belief that Darkness is the opposite of Light. It is not.

The opposite of Light is Love.

Darkness is a distortion of Divine Love.

The opposite of and/or absence of Love is not Hate.

Hate is created when one is frustrated, blocked or prevented from access to that which they (believe) they love.

For more "fun facts" on Light And Dark you (and others) are invited to go and read some selected quotes on the topic at:
