Because of your exercise restrictions, you must modify your diet;lot of waters, fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, low carbs. You may be able to do low-impact exercises, such as pilates and yoga. There are also cardio machines that offer low impact exercising. Of course, walking is the absolute best exercise. Talk to your doctor about a good exercise and diet plan.

Wow, you sound a lot like me! I'm 14, want to lose 20 pounds by the time school starts (in september), and I've injured my ankle so I can't play sports until its completely healed.

What I'm doing right now is trying to lose 2-3 pounds each week. I walk about 2 miles a day in the park/on the treadmill (and I'm planning on walking 3), and started juggling (it's fun!). This burns off about 200-250 calories. I try to eat less than 1200 calories a day. For breakfast, I eat fruit/vegetables (like a peach, apple, or baked potato). For lunch, I eat pasta/salad/pizza or anything equivalent to 300-400 calories. And for dinner I eat anything 300-500 calories. For snacks, I eat a cookie (its hard to resist!), some fruit, granola bars, or chips.

In my past dieting, I've ate 500-800 calories a day. I lost 5 pounds, but then gained 10! So don't eat less than 800 calories a day...it can be kind of dangerous. Good luck!

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

I think you should stop eating so much. Start standing if front of a mirror naked for about 10 minutes a day, then after awhile you will have a really low self esteem, and the weight will just pour off due to you not eating at all. good luck

Eating lots of fruits and veggies as well as drinking a lot of water can help with this.

The best thing of all that you can do (and this also allows you to eat the things you like once in a while) is to watch portion sizes, and for those things that you like to eat such as cake just take a small size so that you can eat it once in a while. These kind of things have to be eaten in moderation.

Depriving yourself of things you like to eat from time to time can make it harder to stick to a plan to lose weight.

As for exercising if your dr says ok you can even try simple stretches like with your arms and exercises to help your stomach. Also, check with your dr about other ideas for an eating plan that can be of help.

Hey, i used to have the same problem!
I tried fasting, doing crunches, eating less, making my portions smaller, renting excersice DVD's and walking to and from school everyday, and soon dropped many pounds!
I wish you good luck!
Hope this helps,
Tasha
