No bible student can deny the number is used many times in scripture. The sad thing is that because of it's connection to "luck", in gambling, such as the payout on a slot machine, many people have planned visits to casinos and the hotels near them have been booked solid for many months. The casinos will empty many pockets today. Christians should not fall into superstition. We can not mix the Holy with the profane. The gods of destiny and fortune have nothing for me. For me personally, it means I miss a wedding that I would have attended had it been near me, but it is at a casino two hours away, and my mother is ill and I have no babysitter for my granddaughter. The bride is dear to me, and I know she is close to a spiritual breakthrough, but it was not prudent to argue her choice of location and date of her wedding. I hope to win her with love.

The number is significant in the Bible because seven represents a covenant, the number of God.
Its also considered lucky so 7, in numerological terms, that's about as big as it gets for the superstitious. Many marriages, trips to the casinos and so forth are being planned for the day. Seven represents the aura. Three sevens equals 21 (2+13). Three represents the positive mind. Add the 7 p.m. hour and you have four sevens, which equals 28 (2+810). Ten is the radiant body."

The world will end today (cue dramatic music).
People said the same thing when it was 06/06/2006.
I'm personally waiting for 09/09/2009, because a 9 is an upside down 6.

There is nothing significant about the date, just the number.
Seven is supposed to be a number of completeness in the Bible, which is also supposed to represent God. If you look, the number seven appears many times in the Bible for different things, that it takes seven of something to complete it.
This is why the number six is also significant for Satan. Six represents incompleteness, which is why it is used for Satan.
