Were are closer than we have ever been and Jesus may come in our life time, but there will be signs that herald the season of his coming.

Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 32 "From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.

8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

No, Time is not running out. I do not believe that Jesus is returning.

I understand why you think this way, I used to think the same thing. I do believe that the Bible states that no one will know the time when Jesus will return. So lets assume that it will be a long time from now, because everyone has always thought it was going to be during the time they were alive. (this goes back hundreds of years.)

Humans will be here 100, 200, 500 years from now. Which is why the resource depletion of our planet is such a real concern.

Yes I guess all christians believe the time is near. Jesus said no one knows the day nor the hour, he said he dosen't even no himself, only Yahweh knows the day and the hour. But the way things are going right about now I'd say scripture is being fufilled, all the more reason why we should be trying to win souls for the kindom.

I know it suuuure seems a long way off with the state of the world right now. But i have a theory that the lord is coming 2032-2036. We are currently at war... but i believe we have a ways to go before we are "at our wits end with war" as revelations states. The worlds resources are running out, oil, the oceans fish, wood, metals, are supposed to be gone by 2050. the earth is using resources at a rate that would need 7 earths to sustain. All nations are not currently against Isreal, but we're real close. Even the united states will turn on them, but not for awhile. If the world's resources are supposed to run out by 2050, i'd say it's probably safe to assume that by 2035 we'll be at our wit's end with war fighting over them. With all this being said, i'm not going to be letting up on living right, because it's definately approaching fast, we're watching revelations unfold on Network news.

People have felt that way before. Like Chicken Little, just to name one. Christianity is an apocalyptic religion at the root. 2000 years may not be long to god, but it sure is a long time for humans to be looking to the East. Maybe you need a new hobby or a vacation to cheer you up a bit. :-)

I definitely feel time is running out, that is why us Christians must warn everyone when we get the chance. People, eternity is at stake. Not believing in Heaven or Hell does not change the fact that they are real. One day everyone will believe, and everyone will bow and confess Jesus is Lord. Whether you are in Heaven or Hell...you will confess it.

Jesus said no one would know the day or the hour, but he said we would know the season.
When you see the churches employing secular government to persecute Sabbath (Saturday) keeping Christians, thinking they are doing Gods work.
Then look up, it will be the season.

i have been looking to the skys since i was 14.

there is also a famous song of the 80's which sing, I can feel "it" coming.

the first disciples thought for sure Jesus would return in their life. In some ways jesus did return, in fact according to the book of mormon he visited the "other" sheep. and history of other people declare their experience with a white bearded god.
i tell you the truth, the bible says if you look for God you will find him. but sooner than that, if you ask for jesus with sincerity He will appear.

Time flies by so quickly but I' not sure if we're 'running out' of time. Time is a man-created component in our life and it's hard to believe that one day we'll just 'run out' of time. Who knows, maybe time is eternal?
