I have seen a dress from a seller in china. Its stunning and so much cheaper than buying it a wedding store. But really worried it might end up wasting my money.

no you are not crazy - not at all.

the only thing is that its risky because you don't know whether it will fit you perfectly or if its what it really looks like in the photo.

and on Oprah there was once this woman who got scammed when buying her wedding dress from ebay so make sure you check the users feedback very carefully. and ALWAYS pay by paypal.

Buying from ebay is a great idea HOWEVER...both the dresses you picked are from China sellers and are copies of designer dresses. I have heard horror stories about the dresses falling apart when they are ordered from places like that. It would probably be in your best interest to buy only from sellers in the us who have 100% positive feedback rating. A lot of bridal shops will sell their floor model dresses at a very low cost and they are still new with tags. I got my dress on ebay for about $200 and it is beautiful. If it sounds too good to be true (like 4.99 for a custom made dress) then it probably is so beware. But if you do go with one of those i like the first one :)

The only problem I have with buying clothing especially any wedding attire is the fitting of them. You can't really see in detail and touch the fabric in a picture posted on the web as in person. What if you get it and decided that it wasn't exactly what you wanted, do you really wanna just settle for something that you didn't like once you get it? My only advice is to be very cautious with this decision, but then again this coming from someone who doesn't buy anything online because of fear of not liking it and having to go through the trouble of returning lol Good Luck though!! : )

I think that is a great idea and it definitely can save you money. Just be prepared to possibly need to have alterations. Also if you can find a similar dress at your local bridal shop try it on first to make sure you look good in it. Many brides have their heart set on a particular dress and then once they try it on it doesn't look very good. Most purchases on e-bay are a money back guarantee and if you have any problems you can list a dispute which will show on their seller's page and they don't want that reputation.

All I can say is that I managed to buy SEVEN wedding dresses on ebay in search of a bargain. Some were awful, some were great! But in the end, I ended up taking them ALL to a consignment shop and getting one from David's Bridal. I wish I would have done that in the first place!

If I were you, I wouldn't buy something you can't touch, let alone try on. It may look beautiful, but it may be all wrong for you once you put it on. Also, buying this gown, you may find it needs alterations, but for whatever the reason, can't be done on this particular dress. If that happened, you would really be wasting your money.
I can't count how many brides I've known, that have seen that dream gown, even carry the magazine picture of it until they find it, and then put it on and realize it is all wrong for them.
If you are really leaning towards buying it, try to find similar gowns and try them on to see if it's a good look for you. You also need to find out, assuming this is a good look for you, can this particular gown be altered to make it larger or smaller. There may not be enough fabric to let it out in spots or the fabric itself, it may not be a good idea to mess with since it's already been made into this gown. The fabric may not be able to handle alterations.
Alot of women have an idea fo what they want in a gown. the problem comes when they actually put on that dream gown, and the gown isn't right for their body type. You want the gown to accentuate your figure, not have the gown try to make you look better.

It is a risk, because if it gets lost, then you are totally out. If you want, and you have alot of time, order one from China, and take a chance. They claim they can copy designer gowns to the tee. Make sure you measure yourself correctly. They give specific instructions how to measure. That is important. Say you have a year before wedding, and the gown is $125 I would chance it, because it takes about 12 weeks for them to finish a gown. If there is a foul up, you can always purchase a gown locally or online in the states.

May I recommend gownfind.com, tbweddingdresseswholesale.com, wholesaleweddinggowns.com, weddinggo.net, rinadimontella.com, dessy.com, netbride.com, weddingretailer.com, houseofbrides.com, thebridalshop.com, bestbridalprices.com

Good Luck to you on your wedding.

Just be very careful-I read a lot of the feedback, and for some sellers, they just rate the buyer-not the other way around. I am sure there are some really pretty dresses that come from China, but with every transaction on E-Bay, it´s buyer beware.

It depends, I buy vintage dresses all the time on eBay, the only issue I have is fit. But most people will provide measurements, but if you do run into that problem just factor in some tailoring into the final cost of the dress. I say, buy whatever dress you want to, it's your day.

i plan to. i found a seller in china with a tea length dress with pink and green beading and a pink sash that i fell in love with. they make them to your measurements too...
just make sure to give enough time for them to make it and get it shipped to you. then have a local seamstress lined up in you need the dress touched up... strap too long etc

contact several others on the feedback list of the seller and ask to see the dress they got and ask how they liked dealing with them and the end result of the dress...
i got more good than negative comments and the negative was so minor it was almost not worth fussing over.
