Hinduism is called Sanaatana Dharnma.
It is an universal religion. Its prayers are universal.
Sarvey Jano sukhino Bhavanyu ( Let all the people in the universe be happy )
Vedas are knowledge.Vedam means a thing that is worth knowable.
Brahma vidya , the science of Ultimate proclaims Brahmavid Brahmaiva Bhavati .(After realisation one becomes the ULTIMATE )
It is unwise to stamp Hinduism as a religion of India. It is Universal. One has to read a lot about Hinduism to understand it.It accepts all religions. It says all religions lead to HIM.Hinduism never tried to attract people into it.It never sent missionaries to propagate religion. It never invaded any country.Such is the greatness of the HINDUISM.

the way how the religion is become today, is not meant for voting but to abandon at least for some time. they were started with good ideals but now reached a stage of confrontation. anything in this world are to be taken only as for guidance than to be taken for following. if something good is appearing even in other religion, that should be a guidance for us,instead of putting into vote. when it comes to vote, nobody will say his religion is bad. but a wise man always knows what to follow and what not to follow!

The Vedic culture is the best in my opinion. But the people of different mentalities can take up non-Vedic paths, if they so wish. There is no harm. The Bhagavad Gita (3rd chapter) says that one should take up a religion according to one's mentality.

what does religion mean????? u have any idea.... well u need to understand meaning of religion.... i am sure u must have a sense to understand what every religion teaches, try to know the depth n decided which is the best. religion can base on 2 way like culture n the way of worship. we can adopt any culture according to our wish but wardship god is other issue. god has give us sense to understand our best way.
me being a individual women i accepted Islam only because the principles of Koran is nothing but is scientific instruction and the NAM-AZ(prayer) is way of worshipping Allah (god) in our own concentration...

Roshan basically what is RELIGION? Its nothing but way of life, how we should live in our family, with our neigbours,in our society, at our work place etc, here living means how we behave with others, what all we should do or not do with others, how we should make others do things for us, how we should marry & begot kids, what all we should for our kids, how we should care for parents & other family members, what we should & not do with our family members, etc etc. Now read any religious book you'll find about all these things. All these religious books were written by people like you & me during their time making rules ,regulations, ethics, morality etc according to their time, some realized that time is never static & it changes from generation to generations hence they did not specify any limitations that can be questioned in future by newer generations but few forget this & made hard & fast rules & regulations for people of their society to be followed from generations to generations, hence you find so much noise & instabilities in all such societies which want to change with time but because of the strict rules & regulations made by the ancestors of their society which you call or see in the so called religious books of these societies these new generation people are unable to do so, if they protest against such rules & regulations they are being harassed by the so called clergies of their religion not to do it as it will be bad for them & it will make the God the Almighty unhappy. Even the definition of God or the Almighty given by all these religions is very peculiar as if there exist some Special guy out there some where in universe to do & decide every thing out here on Earth, which is not so, God or Almighty what ever name you give is nothing but the Super Force/Power that makes every thing go about in the Universe & it exist in every Molecule or Atom of the Substance in the Universe, in you & me & every person who is reading this reply. You need not go to any religious place to find God you have it in you & around you all the time & that force make you to do or act as you do or act. As far rules & regulations of the society are concerned we now live in a Modern Democratic Country that has a Super book of such rules & regulations which we call Constitution based on this are various rules & regulations are made to follow in order to live peacefully in our India Society. So in simple words if you say which is the religious book of our Modern time which we should follow it is 'The Constitution of India' just follow it & live a civilized & modern life.
