It may be boring to you, but I'm also guessing that you've never been to a race in your life. Ive been to Football games, hockey matches, and baseball games. Besides Football and Nascar, What else is there, I fell asleep during the Hockey [Panthers vs Lightning] match and baseball is too slow. It took too much energy to pay attention. Its just like watching golf; LOL!!! NASCAR is not just about watching the race, its a weekend event. Lots of fun, adrenaline and excitement. Try going to a race and you'll then understand why MILLIONS of people watch it every weekend . . .

Really it is not that hard. I make sure I am wearing my Tony Stewart Hat and shirt. Get some chips, salsa and beer. Sit on my couch with a remote and kick my feet up. Only to move for bathroom emergency type situations. Pretty much the same way that you watch football, hockey and baseball. It is the same concept.

Wow, getting cracked on for liking nascar from a football and baseball fan is one thing, but a hockey fan. I didn't think I'd see the day when a hockey guy made fun of nascar. Hockey sucks, baseball is just two people playing catch, football kicks ***. And change your name.

That's like saying "Unless you're a groundskeeper, how can you watch baseball?" Or "Unless you drive a zamboni, how can you watch hockey?" In other words, it's a stupid question. We watch it because it's a sport, and a darn good one. The same reason I watch hockey. I love both sports. So if you don't like NASCAR, that's fine, but get out of our section. You don't see me in the football section asking how you can watch such a boring sport, do you?

I usually don't get mean; but I am getting so sick and tired of people like yoou coming in here and being so rude and obnoxious.

Judging by your username you are Vikings Fan and since the Viking have totally sucked for the last 5 years, no wonder you have to come mess with NASCAR because in the NFL your Vikings have been a total joke; especially with their huge boat parties.

You want to talk YYYYYAAAAAWWWWNNNNNN. Watching the Vikings get their backside handed to them every single week makes me YYYYYAAAAAWWWNNNN. I love football as well; but when my Cowboys are beating the tar out of your Vikings I severly YYYYAAAAAWWNNN and change the channel.

How can a sports fan watch sports period.
My biggest complaint with stick and ball sports fans is their comment about the game;
"we really beat them last night(or Saturday etc)"
Or
"we had a good game"
What the heyyell did you play in the game?Did you coach the game?
At least race fans can say my favorite driver(team) had a good race, with out making themselfs the center of the event.
But as for boring why watch men push a "cow chip" with a stick on ice?
Or men in baggy drawers running up and down a floor throwing a ball into a peach basket?
Why in football the coach wears a "baseball cap" on the side line.
Stick with what you like.If you find racing boring don't watch it,.

So you like figure skating with sticks? Now that is boring. Baseball? You like to watch people standing in a field 80% of the time.

I used to think it was boring.until I started paying attention to it.If you do not know anything about it you won't like it.And I'm far from being a mechanic.I now look forward to each race.I like to play basketball but watching now that's boring to me.Football though is something I've always loved.Everyome has different tastes.

t.v. does'nt do nascar justice. go to a race with friends that enjoy and see a differant perspective of the race. more than likely you will enjoy it a lot more. i took a friend to the coca cola 600 this amy and he came away with a differant view then he went in with.

It takes intelligence to understand what they are talking about and what they are doing. Perhaps if you would show some interest, you would learn something, and maybe you wouldn't be so "bored". If you watch football, apparently you're not overflowing with intelligence anyhow. Most football players and announcers couldn't make a coherent sentence if they wanted to.
