menopause is when your female organs shut down and you cannot have any children any longer...your overies quit producing eggs and your hormones try to adjust as when we go thru puberty, they rage. Causing hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, alot like puberty...you dont have periods any longer...it is also called the change of life...and it does...hope it helps...

i think you might mean menopause...
Menopause is a stage in life when a woman stops having her monthly period. By definition, a woman is menopausal after her periods have stopped for one year. Menopause typically occurs in a woman's late forties to early fifties. It is a normal part of aging, marking the end of a woman's reproductive years.
