The question makes sense. The comment doesn't. I think computers are one great example of how we have sold out our privacy for a trip through the fun house. enjoy.

Any knowledge is a double edged sword. Knowledge can transform us for better or worse, or we can stagnate, but that's also for the worse. The difference is upon what we focus. Are we seeking to grow ourselves only intellectually or some other way? That can get us in serious trouble if we have no morality to help us decide how to apply the knowledge. Morality is based upon spiritual teachings of the universal educators who appear from age to age to empower us to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization. Our encompassing morality tempers our knowledge. If we have no morality and only material knowledge, we are dangerous.

Computers are no better or worse than the people using them. They have transformed my life, connected me with people I would have never known, gave me access to knowledge that would have been virtually impossible otherwise, and made my job skills more marketable.

All this excludes children and youth too young to protect themselves. As with any tool, adults have the responsibility to teach them correct and safe use.

Yes, you're right. I do use my computer to keep in touch with my parents.

A little specificity in your question would have been nice. I think that having a computer is most excellent. Knowledge is power.
