What I think doesn't matter. The truth is no one has a soul! We are souls! Read Gen. 1:26-27. God formed man from the dust of the ground & breathed into his nose the breath of life & man became a living soul. The breath of life is oxygen, so what is made out of dirt is a soul. No where in the bible does it say we have a soul living in us! If you want more information on this just email me & let me know. The bible verse above may be Gen. 2:7. I can't remember right now.

A Christian Perspective:
In the Bible "living soul" simply refers to the breath of life that a creature has. In this sense all living things have a 'soul.'
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
If we are to speak of the spiritual awareness or having an eternally existent being, then this is something that appears to only be given to humans. Man is the only one created "in God's image" according to Genesis 1:26-27 and Genesis 9:6.

In many Nature Religions, like Wicca, yes. if something is alive, it has a soul, even a tree. Spirit is a droplette of the Divine. All that the Lord and Lady created spirit, even though we may not see it as alive. This planet might be alive, but we can't notice it from our point of view. But that is kinda abstract.
All things that live have spirit, ergo a soul.
Blessed be

no. animals have a "spirit" but only human beings have an 'eternal soul'.
the spirit could be seen as the result of life functions.... heart beating, lungs breathing etc; but the soul..... that is connected to our consciousness... it is what causes us to be able to have logical, reasonable thought as to WHY we are alive (were created) who created us, our purpose in life (which is a mystery?) and so on.
While brain functions cause logical thought processes, (in humans and animals) only human beings have the consciousness that causes us to evaluate our existence. Animals think, reason, choose .... but they do not evaluate their existence on earth, or wonder who created them, nor do they have eternal souls in need of redemption.
So the spirit and the soul are different. Only human beings have souls.

Yes all living creatures have souls and a collective spirit, Humans have souls an individual Spirits. Without a soul. you cannot live. With out a spirit, you can't have eternal life.

No. Nothing has a soul. Every living thing has awareness in one form or another but that ends at death.

Well, that depends entirely upon how you define "soul". If you define "soul" as a life principle and "death" as separation of the life principle from the physical body, then every living thing has a "soul". What sets humans apart however is that we have an immortal soul, and no other earthly entity has that.

Do you think plants have souls?
I mean, cuz its understandable to be confused if a dog has a soul or not.. but ALL living things? I don't think so.

Only in the respect that they are alive. If you mean an everlasting soul that lives on after death, NO. But a soul as in lifeforce that dies with you, yes.

No.
The concept of the soul is a religious invention to separate the humans from the rest of the animals.
