and our beliefs are based on theories and facts discovered through logic and reason, such as gravity, evolution, mathematics, and pretty much everything that has to do with science, does that mean science shouldn't be taught in our public schools for fear of our "religion" being taught in public schools?

Since your premise is flawed, there's no need for anyone to answer with any seriousness.

atheism is not a religion it is areligion. Things taught in school are discoveries made by man so that we can catch the young ones up to what has been discovered and learned then they can add to it instead of starting from scratch. That is why science, art, history, philosophy, math etc are vital parts of education. There is a place for religion, it's called the place of worship ie church, mosque, temple etc, not in the classroom because we bring together people of different religions and then force feed them one religion, not right. I don't know why i bothered to answer this question, your reasoning just doesn't make nay type of sense

Well atheism isnt a religion. A religion requires rituals, something to worship, a belief in a divince prescence. Atheism is not believing in all of those things. Science is not a religion. It's the truth.

Atheism is NOT a religion. Faith defines religion. Atheists have no faith.

Who is "our"? You're obviously not an atheist, if you are, you're very, very confused.

Your entire line of logic is faulty. You constantly put the burden of proof on the wrong party. It is impossible to prove that something does NOT exist, the burden of proof lies on the party claiming that something does exist. 1 + 1 = 2 can be proved. God cannot.

Atheism isn't a faith, until you opt to call it 'the religion of the non-believer'. I choose human beings techniques-set faith as a form of spirituality with historic concerns, a philosophy and way of existence. that's a cost equipment and an incredible form of times, one's lifestyle and historic previous are linked. that's approximately community. This set of attitudes isn't comparable to fundamentalist indoctrination blended with extremist politics, backwards perspectives and strange forms of paranoia and hate. Atheists in lots of situations harass non secular human beings. there is a few strange flipped-out guy referred to as "The Prophet Mohammed" who wears a cape, has a protracted beard and a Viking cap and asks antagonizing inquiries to Muslims. it is likewise beside the point and rude. no longer something incorrect with being Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, etc. and asking questions and offering perception and comments, yet this different stuff is nonsense.

Atheism is not a religion, as it does not accept the existance of a transcendent god, and it usually applies to a "higher power" as well. Rather it is the lack of religion and religious belief.

That leaves gym, recess, lunch and parents getting rid of the kids as the only reasons to go to school.

Another thing: if the religious get to define atheism then we atheists get to define religion!

gravity is prooven, mathematics doesn't have to be debated, evolution on the other hand i fail to see the proof, it is nothing but a theory mind you, i agree with the atheists, this answer doesn't deserve any seriousness whats so ever

I certainly agree with you that atheism is a religion. Forgive me if I chuckle a little when you say "our beliefs are based on theories and facts discovered through logic and reason, such as gravity, evolution, mathematics, and pretty much everything that has to do with science" as if atheists were the founders of all the sciences. Atheism is not a religion of science. Science and physics are not deified in atheism. Technically, the only thing atheism means is "Without a God." (greek "a" without, "theos" God)
