According to TheKnot.com, I should use about $650 towards expenses for my ceremony.

I'm having a Catholic Wedding. So, I know that aisle runners, pew decorations, unity candles and excess decorations are generally, not allowed.

Therefore, how much should it cost? Is there a fee for the use of the church? I know generally there is a donation made, but are there an mandatory fees?

Someone please explain about how much a Catholic wedding ceremony should cost

I'm trying to put together a budget.

I'm talking ceremony costs here. Trust me, my reception is quite large.

However, $650 for the use of the church and a few flowers seems a little high.

I'm asking purely on how much a Catholic CEREMONY will cost you.

Every parish has different guidelines.

Consult with your parish's wedding coordinator for what is and is not allowed.

With love in Christ.

I am a Catholic, but not in the US so I really don't know how things are there. However where I am all that it entails is a donation to the church you will be celebrating in. The flowers and other decorations are all extras and not an essential part in your wedding celebration. Getting married in a catholic rite is all about a catholic wedding of 2 people in love pledging to love each other forever with God as their witness and remember ... what God has joined together, let no man divide. Good luck and blessings!

I am a baptised Baptist (I wager all Baptists are) married to a Catholic. We celebrated Mass once we acquired married 2 years in the past. Of direction, I did not partake of Communion, however a whole Mass used to be held. My spouse's parish priest needed to acquire permission from the archbishop to ensure that that to take position. Because of that, I could wager that the reply for your query could range by way of place. Check together with your fiance's parish priest (or the priest overseeing your pre-Cana rigamarole) to get an reply.

Fees for a church vary by church. You're going to have to call the parish where you will be married for a price list.

Well, unless they've changed the rules since I was a Catholic there's no objection to thumping big expensive weddings.

Considering that it is the money-hungry Caholic Church you are talking about, expect to fork over plenty of money. (compare Micah 3:11, 12)
