Keep the cash and use some of it to mail the wallet back to the owner. Don't use the cards, even for gas. Cameras are everywhere man!

I've found wallets at least three times. One nice thing about wallets is that they almost always have ID and it's easy to find the owners. The most cash that was ever in one was about 80 bucks. I could have gone out for a nice meal or bought something to wear, I guess. But I'd still be feeling bad about it now. I gave them all back, contents intact, and I'd do it again.

That would depend. If I just found a wallet laying on the ground with no id or anything to identify it's owner, then I would. If I found a wallet with the owner's identity, I would promptly contact the owner and make arrangements to get it back to them.

"do unto others as you would have done unto you" I would hope if I lost my wallet it would be return to me in the manner I left it. Who knows maybe the person was so grateful they'd give you some cash for doing the right thing.

I have found one before and turned it in. Once in the Wal-mart parking lot, I found a large zippered bag with probably a thousand dollars in it and turned it in. It was someone who worked at the fairgrounds selling concessions. I have also lost my wallet before and was grateful that someone else was honest and notified me.

No... If it has someone's licence or i.d in it, I'll give it back to them. Actually, i'll make my mom do it. Plus, why do I need a wallet? I'm broke!

I've actually returned 3 to the police station. They were already empted of the cash by the pickpocket who stole them. Cop told me that most are happy to get them back because of the photos that are inside.

No never. I know the loss of that to anybody even to me if I keep me in that person's position. So I will return to police or to that person if possible.
