I have read here that Christians don't hate the person , just the evil acts. Witches do many good things, just as anyone else does. If what you say is true, if you really do not hate the person who is a Witch, you just hate the evil she does, lets say this particular Witch is like the Mother Teresa of Witches and she does nothing wrong in anyone's eyes. Would you think of her as a good person then? If not why not and PLEASE NO SCRIPTURES!
no scriptures, no "it is written" no cut and paste miles of bible, I want you totell me what you yourself think, please, with all respect and sincerity. I appreciate it very much and thank you!

I have been on both sides and my life is no more good or bad then it was as a Christian. Being a witch does not make you good or bad. It is just how you worship. In Wicca we live to harm none and in my experience there is more good living witches than Christians. Now what I am about to say is not bashing Christians, but merely stating what I see and hear everyday.
Christians do bad things and they justify these things by saying I am human you know Jesus died for my sins and I am just a saved sinner. We in Wicca have no excuse so we live better lives because what we do comes back to us. Witches understand a thing called personal responsibility, something that Christians know nothing about because Jesus covers over their bad like an over protective mother covering up the bad deeds of her son.

What a person does is not what gets them on the good side of God. There are many people of all religions that do better things for other people, and for this world we live in than a lot of christians. Being a true christian is having a personal relationship with Jesus. It has nothing to do with religion. Any good thing a christian does is because of the Holy Spirit that lives inside the person. So if a witch wanted to enjoy the Kingdom of God, she would have to believe in God the Father and His only Son Jesus the Messiah.
So, if witches did good things, they would be very good people.

Excellent solutions this time -- from each side. But you have got made a horrible assumption, my buddy, one that no *real* dream stuff entity could make! You anticipate that "God" and "Bible" are in some way regarding each and every different. If you learn the bible (close the verses you point out) within the usual language, you'll observe that nowhere does it point out the stag horns, inexperienced leaf cloak, golden candle, advantages of air and hearth, and so on. None of the matters related to the One True God on my altar. Clearly, "thou shall no longer endure a poisoner to are living" comes no longer from a truly god. What it will have to say as an alternative is "thou will have to no longer pour poisonous insecticides down the drain wherein you are living given that it flows downstream into the rivers and oceans". (Duh!) Thanks for creating a well factor even clearer. Also thank you for the hyperlink. ### Seriously, I do accept as true with Chicago Bob approximately the conflict lords. And PhilosophyAngel will get my vote for BA up to now.

Okay, when you are asking a question based on religion, they why do you say " no scripture"
It's like saying " How do I get to Oklahoma, and no maps please"
If you're going to ask a question based on a religious point of view, then you should be mature enough to handle a religious answer.
Now, I'm going to try to answer this question, but since I'm not allowed to use the context in which you raised it, it may seem a little foggy.
Christians don't like the Wiccan faith because Christians are of the believe that wicca takes people away from God and there fore, straight to hell. Now since I'm not allows to use any scripture to support this statement, you can say what-ever you want uncontested.

If someone, some witch, were the "Mother Theresa" of all witches and does nothing wrong in anyone's eyes then not only would I think of her as a good person, I would come darn close to nominating her for sainthood !.... and I would really love for her to be a neighbor! :o)

From the mouth of a christian......
Christians don't like the Wiccan faith because Christians are of the believe that wicca takes people away from God
So its all about numbers then is it? Sounds as worthless as the stuff from their book!
Christians do you know that Our only animosity toward Christianity, or toward any other religion or philosophy of life is to the extent that its institutions have claimed to be "the one true right and only way" and have sought to deny freedom to others and to suppress other ways of religious practices and belief.
Do you also know that we respect your belief system and if you would afford us the same courtesy then you may find we respond more nicely toward the individual?
I have christians as my contacts and they are respectful and i respect them.
Just something for you to ponder.....

Any person of any religion (that I know of, anyway!) can be a good person! I can understand the fact that you, as a witch, could be a good person.
Can you accept that I can disagree with you, and ALSO be a good person?

Catholic Church teaches:
All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health (for good things) - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion.
These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons.
With love in Christ.

I think of them as good people now. I have many Wiccan and Pagan friends, and just because they don't share my religious beliefs doesn't mean that they're somehow incapable of goodness or ethical behavior.
