Anyone who is a "true believer" of anything will never question their beliefs. I think that's a rather maniac and fanatic way to be. Questions are important.

Maniacal.....no. Fanatical.....yes! I am a "fan" and true believer of God. I am also a brother and follower of Jesus Christ in the true Spirit of God. Today it isn't politically correct to state dogmatically that Jesus was more than an extraordinarily gifted person, a moral person, a wise philosopher, a Jewish sage or a political reformist. Nor is it acceptable to say that His teachings are the only route to a life beyond the grave and to lasting peace for the world.

After all, we live in a world that dislikes such absolutes. And some dislike even more the authority that One who claimed to be God might claim over their lives. Thus throughout history all kinds of ideas have sprung up about Jesus of Nazareth.

Why is there so much controversy over one man?...... He regularly makes the cover of weekly newsmagazines. More books have been written and more scholarly work done about this Jewish teacher from Galilee than any other man who ever lived.

The simple answer is that He claimed to be God—and from the record was able to support that claim, as we have seen.

He assures us He will prove it to the entire world when He comes to earth a second time in glory, majesty and divine supernatural power that will astound people all around the globe......Am I "fanatical" about being a true believer in God though Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior?.........You betcha!

I believe that we should all be fanatics. I think that we should all be on roof tops screaming that Jesus is the only way for eternal salvation. Of course I don't do this. Or at very least we should be unshaken in our faith. If you put fanatic and violence together then no we shouldn't. but if you mean we should all be loud and proud, then yes.

p.s. I think this answer isn't very good. I can't seem to type what I'm trying to say. arg.

We are FANS of Christ~ so yes...
What do YOU worship? are you fanatical about wrestling? Racing? Mickey Mouse?

Where does THAT getchya?

Once you cross the line and attend a spirit filled church, your heart will PREPARE for the WORD of God and His promises. This is the point where it all starts to make sense. THEN the opposition will step up his plan and try to keep you from "knowing" God... he does this by re-introducing doubt... but as we pray for "truth" and Gods wisdom, our hearts "KNOW" what to do.

I hope this helps you to understand "us" more.

!!!!!!Plus remember, all of the Christians here at topix and around the world come from different backgrounds , incomes, and enviornments...YET! WE ALL AGREE THIS INFO IS TRUE! WOW!
How often do diverse groups AGREE on AnYtHinG??? Proof dear one. THIS is YOUR proof.~~~~ Love, Deb~

No. I know many people I'd consider to be true believers in their religion who are very quiet and never bother anyone in any way. I live in a neighborhood with a lot of elderly people. They go to church, mind their own business, and are very, very religious. They're not manic in any way, but just quietly live out their lives of faith and devotion.

Eric Hoffer once wrote a book called "The True Believer," and it's a very good discussion of fanaticism.

Yes and no. It is impossible to group everyone into one category. There are maniacally fanatical true believers and there are those who have balance in their lives.

True believers never question. I fear those who never question. They are easily led astray. They have teh potential to be very dangerous

Not questioning requires someone to be gullible and innocent, or at least a bit of a maniac

There are two kinds of gov't on earth. The 1st is the spiritual gov't under the HOLY SPIRIT and the 2nd is the gov't of men called kingdom of the beast for beastly behavior under satan. The spiritual gov't is with the churches, pastors, priests, Prophets and Saints, bishops, etc under the HOLY SPIRIT. Being under THE HOLY SPIRIT this gov't and their members are reckon to use the pure language. Let us say, the spiritual word is GRACE but under satan, as he is the ruler of this world, it is called agenda. Similarly, true believers under the pure language espoused by the spiritual gov't are under the grace of THE LORD GOD. On one hand, under the gov't of men (society), the word is corresponding to the word fanatical individuals. THANKS GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD. The ones I know are. They believe their role in life is to irritate others until they say "uncle" and "convert". The maniacal part is that they think they've succeeded.
