Our tastes change along the way--and always will. Peanut butter on hamburgers, raisins in turkey stuffing or cereal, yogurt, soda. No matter the food, all of a sudden--BAM--not for you.
As for hamburgers, a few weeks ago we had a cook-out. Grilled pineapple slices. A 47-year-old biker and an over-achieving 15-year-old both put grilled pineapple on their 'burgs. Neither had ever met before. The biker used to top his 'burg with jalapeno peppers and the teen used to hate pineapple, period.
I grilled the pineapple to go with the grilled ham--silly me.(Regardless of how everyone ate it, all the pineapple disappeared.)

On the menu of Brian's here in San Diego a burger with peanut butter is a regular feature. And the Indonesians make a peanut sauce which is fantastic on roast chicken.
Better than goat cheese on a peach!

Ick!
No, I'd never eat that.
I knew a couple of guys back home (in Illinois) growing up their fav sandwich was Bologna and Peanut butter. They LOVED it!
Not me. I'll stick to the norm... Bologna and mustard or hamburger w/ mayo ketchup pickles and lettuce.
I'll eat peanut butter with jelly. Nothing else... oh, except peanut butter fuge (choc) ice cream..MMMMmmmm~

I once dated a guy that ate peanut butter on EVERY kind of sandwich...ham, burger, sausage, turkey. Weird, but then I never tried it so it might be good! I thought mayo on a hot dog was weird, too , til I tried it...delish!!
