What makes you think that any other saint would go to Heaven before the resurrection at Jesus second coming. When he makes his foes his footstool.

Matt A look at v 34 again. Do I need to repeat it verbatim?
"for David is not assended into the Heavens:"

Good question. What v.34 means is David did not ascend into heaven like Jesus did. David was man like us. He died, buried and did not resurrect. Christ was different.

shovelead...what this is saying is that when David was writing the psalms, he was not talking about himself because David at the time he wrote the psalms had not ascended into heaven...it does not mean that he didn't go to heaven. So this verse was being used to prove that Jesus fulfilled many prophesies in the bible like the once quoted. If you still lack understanding pray that god may reveal it to you.

Ephesians 4:8-10

8. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

When he ascended up on high" refers to the ascension of Christ. At that time He led the saints of the OT, which refers, I believe, to the redeemed of the Old Testament who died. Christ took these believers with Him out of Hell, Hades, or Sheol into the very presence of God when He ascended. What ever this place was called, Jesus went there for a purpose and that was to take the saints to heaven.

The verse is quoting what David quoted about Jesus. That God would tell Jesus to sit at his right hand. No where does it say that David is not in heaven.
