Many scholars believe that Mohammad had contact with Jews and Christians while growing up in Mecca (which was something of the Las Vegas of the Middle East when Mohammad was young). A lot of Islam also has roots in the pre-Islamic Arabian religion of the time, too.

There may be similarities but the Holy Quran does not copy from the Bible for example

According to the Bible, Book of Genesis,

chapter 1, verses 11-13,

Vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as it has been stated in the Bible?

It also says light is created on the first day where as the source of light 'The Sun' is created on the fourth day. How is this scientifically possible?

The Quran does not mention the above about creation. This is the greatest proof.

According to Bible Fowl has four legs.

Lev 11:20-21: "All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you." Fowl do not go upon all four. There has not been any fossils of winged creatures found that has four legs. So therefore, it is not very accurate in describing Biology. If the Quran copied from the Bible it would have also said the fowl has four legs.

From the time of Adam, Noah etc. The legacy of God was kept ORALLY. So naturally when these tribes traveled men began to put their spin on the accounts and later these tribes became nations. That's why the stories were similar but different. So it makes sense that after a while God would eventually have the actual events written down to preserve its integrity. The Bible is a masterpiece of The Holy Spirit.

The Qua'ran didn't exactly copy all of its content from the bible, rather the ideas, though many stories are practically mirror images; they even mention Abraham being asked to sacrifice his son. It's based more on the Old Testament, rather than the New. One of the major characteristics is that it is a MONOtheistic religion. That's why they don't believe that Jesus was the son of god. Whether or not you believe Jesus and god are the same, this has been a debate that's been going on for centuries. Originally, it was not said or believed that they were.

The content of the Koran is not copied from the Bible - the content of the Koran refers to events originally chronicled in the Old Testament, and makes no effort at hiding the fact. The Koran can be viewed as a new covenant God makes with the people of Ishmael, as he has lost favor with the Children of Israel. There is plenty of precedent in the Old Testament that God might lose favor at one time or another with the Jews, so it is a plausible premise for another book, anyway.

No. the Quran should be similar to the Bible if they are the same God. The fact is the Qu'ran is not in agreement with the Bible. The Allah if Islam is not the God of Abraham but Allah says he is this God.

The Bible copied some of it's content from other, more ancient stories as well. Many similar stories were told as people traded and moved throughout the region.

Yes it is true. Not the whole things, just a lot of the old testament. Then Muhammad changed the story of Isaac and Ishmael to say the bible is counterfeit.

Those who say Allah is the same as the God of the Bible are simply ignorant of both the Scripture and what the Quran teaches.

The Quran says: "God has no Son" and forces its adherents to believe God has no son, thus directly attempting to nullify the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Quran denies also that Jesus is the Christ/Messiah.

The Scripture says explicitly: "Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. HE THAT DENIES THE SON, THE SAME HAS NOT THE FATHER". (I John 2:22)

Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ.

In fact, Jesus said....your salvation depends on you BECOMING A SON OF GOD.....by being born OF GOD.
