i use my card online all the time and i've never had a problem with it. make sure that everything is secure. make sure that it is a site that you know and trust. and make sure that you logout off the screen once you have made your purchase so that your information won't be available for the next user of the computer.

Yes it very unsafe to use your credit card online. Being a victim of identity theft I know this firsthand, and it doesn`t matter how small the purchase. If your card insures you from identity theft, then always check with them first of your intent to use it and where. If they give you the nod, go ahead. There are reputable sites, but make sure they are very secure before you hand them your life!

It's safe, but if you're worried, check with your credit card company. There may be a way for them to issue you temporary numbers that are good for just one use only. Also, only deal with companies you know, and make sure you're using their secure site. Don't respond to emails that ask for your credit card number of which direct you to a site. Ask your bank or credit card company for more information on how to protect yourself.
