It seems admitting to doubt is a cardinal sin in the church I attend

I said something similar to this to Steve the other day. Wouldn't it be so much easier if we could openly say "Hey I'm having trouble here, it doesn't make sense and i can't feel my way through this one. What are you thoughts and experiences?" We could help each other so much better if we were able to be honest and not worry about being judged!

I love the word "churchilitically"! Doubt is normal. Questioning everything is healthy. When you find what is right for you, it will vibrate in your soul! Keep searching, questioning and even doubting, if need be, until you find your Spiritual Awakening. And never let a group of people (which is all a church is) control your ability to think for yourself. Blessings.

Not sure. I think they feel maybe they would let down their crew?

Who knows. I have doubts. I don't care who knows. I'm on a journey for truth and I don't care what I find out.

I think if people would just be honest with themselves that would be the greatest witness imaginable to all.

Wow, the Pastor at my previous church (near where I used to live) talked about his own doubts from the pulpit all the time.

He always said it was normal, and whenever he works through his doubts his faith gets firmer, and his compassion for the rest of us doubters and sinners (like him) gets stronger.

Nice word - churchilitically.

Once you start on the path of doubt, the authorities loose control of you. Better to keep them in line with rules than allow them to experience God.

A Christian church?

If so, mention to your fellow churchgoers that God himself doubted God, for a moment.

good grief!
Just how weak IS your faith?
A man with a sick son asked Jesus to help his unbelief (doubts).
Maybe you should ask Jesus to help you with yours, ask Him to send the Holy Spirit to teach you.
John 14:26

I think that depends on what you are doubting and why you are doubting it.

Then don't attend? They are entitled to their views.
