They are all gun ho for this illegal and immoral war...as long as someone else's kids are dying. Don't you think if Bush thought this war was for OUR country his girls would be over there now? Bad example, of course not.
Vaughn, you left off about 600 American lives. And tens of thousands of maimed.

Because a PARENT cannot COMPEL anyone to fight for anything as this is a volunteer military we have here in the good old USA, a fact Micheal Moore seemed to forget in Fahrenheit 911 when he tried to get congressmen to sign their kids up. You can't sign ANYONE up, a judge CANNOT compel someone to enlist. A person who is in the military in this day and age is there of his or her own volition and was not sent there by someone, OTHER then THEMSELVES. You think this is such a good question, yet the very question is faulty. Not all who serve in the armed forces fight, as a matter of fact only 15% of the army is comprised of combat forces. Maybe you should ask a relevant question or at know of what you speak.

Well... you can certainly ask! If even one in ten--or one in a hundred!--supporters of the war start to really think about it, and think about the 3000 American lives that have been lost so far in Iraq, the lives of sons, brothers, daughters, husbands, wives, sisters, etc., then that might be worth you having asked the question.

We don't have to send our children to the war in Iraq. They volunteer. They respect the flag and the nation it represents. They're not brain washed by liberal media. They have brains and can think for themselves. Sorry can't say the same about liberals hiding behind their computers.

Because most of them have children who voluntarily serve our country - and they think you are rude and insensitive for asking this question in the context that you imply.
What do you not understand about serving your country?
Probably everything.

I think its a good idea, maybe then they will realize it is actually killing human beings and nobody wants their children involve in it.

Because if their children went, well then they wouldn't be protected from the terrorists anymore... I'd think many would do a 180 if that happened..

Because those that enlist are adults and don't need their parents permission. Are you sure they aren't looking at you like your some kind of idiot?
